Still here... Still hoping

Hello from four months later in this COVID19 struggle.

Updates: We are no longer under shelter in place type lock downs. They ended in late June i believe. Now businesses are open and people have to wear masks whenever out in public (although some people STILL dont smh). I am still working from home, but Lamar is going back to work in-school tomorrow. That fact make me very nervous. Very. Anyway, that’s basically where I am right now.

🌻

So fertility wise, there hasn’t been any change since the last post. Every month, my cycle has started right when my app said to expect it to. I’ve actually been feeling pretty discouraged about trying to get pregnant over these last few months. I haven’t been tracking anything really. And on top of that, my body has been in FULL REBELLION -___-  What kind of rebellion you ask? Well, if I may get a bit TMI right now, back to back UTIs followed by a Bartholin cyst. Excuse me while i wallow in my terrible luck.

This was particularly annoying because I am *VERY* meticulous about cleanliness so how I managed to get back to back UTIs is still a mystery. Then pretty much right after the UTIs left the building, the Bartholin cyst developed.

Now if you have never heard of a Bartholin cyst (because I certainly hadn’t), it is basically a cyst that develops in either of the Bartholin glands which are just outside the vaginal opening... aka an ENTIRE freak out! I basically didn’t sleep the night after discovering it.  After much googling and a visit to a clinic, I was given a prescription for an antibiotic and told that my body should reabsorb the liquid in the cyst over time. (It is good to note that a problem with Bartholin cysts is that they can get infected and become abscesses which require much more invasive treatments.) I am incredibly grateful that mine has gone down probably 90%.  If you are a person with a vagina, read about Bartholin cysts, because that is a surprise that I can assure you, you do not want. You would think that after all of that, my body would be like “ok, I just put you through the most, so ima just chill,” but nope. Now, my body is trying out throwing random pains at me. I’m ok. Just irritated with how my body has been treating me lately.

🌻

Hopefully, everything will calm down soon. I think my body just randomly likes trying new things *shrug*

🌻

One of my close friends has started her TTC journey. She is way more extroverted than me and so has joined quite a few TTC groups. She’s been sharing some TTC methods with me and the one that I think we’re going to try is the Soft Cup method. Soft Cup is basically using a period cup after sex to keep the semen closer to the cervix for a longer time. I went ahead and purchased a cup so we’ll be trying that method in my next cycle. Fingers crossed for that.

🌻

In the last post I mentioned that i was buying/making things that are sunflower patterned and that is continuing.  My next sunflower project is a crochet wall hanging. It’s a quick project so I’m going to try to be a better blogger and show a finished photo when it’s done.

🌻

I think that’s all for this update. I am really hoping that the health issues that were attacking me earlier this month won’t mess up my cycle. We’ll see.
